Adiabatic Logic voted 'Best Newcomer' at UK Electronics Industry Design Awards

Sister company, XJTAG, also recognised for boundary scan test system.

CAMBRIDGE, England, October 8, 2004

– Adiabatic Logic Limited (www.adiabaticlogic.com) has been voted 'Best Newcomer' at the prestigious 2004 Electronics Industry Design Awards as a result of its unique power saving technology. The company's patented Intelligent Output Driver (IOD) uses an energy recycling technique proven to deliver up to 75% dynamic power savings in chip I/O for portable devices such as laptops, smartphones, handheld computers, digital cameras and MP3 players.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have won this 'Best Newcomer' award for our power saving technology," said Geoff Harvey, Adiabatic Logic's chief technology officer. "Our team has worked very hard over the past 18 months to commercialise IOD and this award, coupled with our recent £500k funding boost from the DTI, makes all the hard work worthwhile."

Adiabatic Logic's sister company, XJTAG, was also recognised by the Awards' judges. It was a finalist in the Test Solution of the Year category for its XJTAG boundary scan development system. Both Adiabatic Logic and XJTAG are spin outs of the Cambridge Technology Group, and are based at Dry Drayton, Cambridge.

The Electronics Industry Design Awards, now in its third year, continues to recognise innovation and celebrate the achievements of companies, large and small, working within the dynamic and creative electronics design/manufacturing arena. The Awards represent the interests of the entire British electronics market. Their aim is to formally recognise professional excellence; acknowledge the achievements of leading companies and individuals; and to emphasise innovation, efficiency and best practice. Over 120 companies entered this year's awards.
