Adiabatic Logic provides design services and IP products that encompass all aspects of energy
recycling to reduce the power used by electronics systems.
Located in the heart of the high tech cluster in Cambridge in the UK, the company is part of the Cambridge
Technology Group.
The technical design team support a wide range of skills including analog and mixed-signal / digital
ASIC design, low-power IP and digital / VHDL design.
Mission
Adiabatic Logic's mission is to become the World Leader in the application of micro- and nano-scale
energy recycling techniques to low power electronic system design.
The Market
The International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) identifies power dissipation as
one of the 'Grand Challenges' for the industry both near term (up to 2009) and long term (up to
2018), because the dramatic increase in the amount of functionality required in electronic systems
is not being matched by currently known power reduction techniques. (public.itrs.net)
To compete in today's power sensitive markets, chip design teams have to balance the requirements for
performance, power and cost to deliver a winning product.
Adiabatic Solution
By concentrating on the delivery of low power enabling electronics, Adiabatic Logic can address
opportunities from small logic blocks up to systems - e.g. from a small part of a chip to complete
semiconductors and boards which are part of a client's end product.
